What’s it about:  True story of a man who subjects himself to 100 days of rejection (rejection therapy) to overcome his fear.

Main takeaway:  Very good book, and helps to reframe rejection in life.  A few key takeaways:

1).  Rejection is an opinion.  It is just one person’s perspective.  There is someone who has a different perspective.

2).  Rejection always has a number.  Maybe one person said no, but someone else will say yes.

3).  Retreat, don’t run.  Ask for a lesser request.

4).  Give your “why”.  People are always more willing to listen when you have a why.

5).  Give yourself freedom to ask.  Amazing things can happen when you ask!

Overall, the biggest takeaway is not any of the “points” the author brings up.  It’s that he suffered through 100 days of rejection and made it fun/funny.  He built the muscle of doing hard things, and thus removed his fear of being rejected in the future.  To obtain the skill, you have to practice in real life.
